Montaribaldi Langhe Chardonnay 2024
Montaribaldi is based in the village of Alba in Piedmont, one of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions. Run by Luciano Taliano, the estate is best known for its Nebbiolo-based reds, but the Langhe Chardonnay is a hidden gem — grown on vertically trellised vines pruned using the Guyot system, in cool, well-ventilated conditions that allow the grapes to ripen perfectly while maintaining excellent acidity and developing considerable aromatic complexity.
About This Wine
Made from sustainably farmed Chardonnay in the Langhe DOC of Piedmont. The Langhe’s altitude and continental climate give this Chardonnay a distinctive character — fuller and more aromatic than its Burgundian counterparts, with an exotic fruit richness that reflects the warmth of the Piedmontese hills. A wine of real personality and excellent value.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright straw-yellow with slight greenish hues.
Nose: Clean, expansive, and intense — pineapple, caramel, and a hint of exotic fruit.
Palate: Full and round with excellent balance, exotic fruit flavours, and a long, satisfying finish.
Finish: Long and persistent with a hint of exotic fruit.
