Château Cascadais 2018
In 1992 Phillipe Courrian purchased some of lands of the castle Saint Laurent Bermon in the Corriere region of France. The family renamed the vineyard Cascadais after the beautiful waterfalls on the property. Phillipe has been working the vineyards as he worked his lands in Château Tour Haut-Caussan in Medoc, following an environmentally friendly approach to the vineyards and wine making. This is now resulting in some of his newer wines been classified as organic.
Robert Parker quoted "A perennial best buy in the pages of The Wine Advocate, the medium ruby-colored Chateau Cascadais is a wonderful value. Its lead pencil and black fruit aromas lead to a medium-bodied character of juicy blackberries, spices, and cassis. This fresh, well-balanced, elegant wine also possesses a long, flavorful finish ". Drink: now until 10 years after the harvest.
